Top 5 Moments

  • WARD vs. WARD! I’m personally glad that the whole dynamic between Grant and his brother is finally being wrapped up. This storyline was interesting, but a bit too long in the making for me.
  • Is Ward a DOUBLE AGENT? I think now that Ward is roaming about, he actually intends to live up to the promises he made to Skye and that he is actually in love with her. Despite his feelings for her, he’s still very much a WILDCARD in regards to what he’s liable to do as far as S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA are concerned.
  • Coulson goes into the machine…AGAIN! Just when you thought he’d never get hooked up to that contraption ever again, Coulson takes
  • The map is not a map…Attilan perhaps? I, along with every other Comic Geek believes that the city in question is Attilan. It makes sense that Marvel will use AoS to introduce the Inhumans and that it would come down to a race between S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA as to who gets to it first.
  • Is that Skye’s Mother? YES IT IS! We knew that something granted Whitehall his youth. Was he an Asgardian? Did you sip some Super Soldier Serum before going to prison? HELL NO! He went and murdered Skye’s Momma and left her body on the side of the road like garbage..true Nazi form indeed!

Easter Eggs

Predictions

I feel very strongly that the city is Attilan. I also think that S.H.I.E.L.D. will get there before HYDRA, but will run into obstacles which will require them to need HYDRA’s assistance. I think that all of this build-up will lead to setting the stage for The Inhumans movie. Although, after the winter break I suspect that we will see more lead in that tie into Avengers: Age of Ultron and perhaps even Ant-Man.

Final Thoughts

Overall, really enjoyed this episode. Mostly the reveals were what impressed and excited me, more so than anything else. That said, the developments as far as Ward is concerned were also a highlight.

I give this episode a solid B.
