It has been announced by Marvel.com that veteran actor and Battlestar Galactica alum, Edward James Olmos will guest star on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” upon its return from winter break. Olmos will portray Robert Gonzales, a character believed to prove very problematic for Director Coulson and his team.”

Fans of the show may recognize Olmos from days as the character William Adama on sci-fi series “Battlestar Galactica.” For old school fans like myself, we fondly remember Olmos as Lieutenant Castillo on the iconic 1980’s cop drama “Miami Vice.” He appeared in over 100 episodes of the show between 1984 and 1990. Olmos earned both an Emmy and Golden Globe award for his role on “Miami Vice”. He also earned both an Academy Award and Golden Globe nomination for his starring role in the 1988 film “Stand and Deliver.”

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns to ABC in March.
