It is confirmed that a minor character from Marvel named Patricia (Patsy) Walker aka Hellcat, will appear in the Netflix series, A.K.A. Jessica Jones. Comics fans around in the 70’s and 80’s will remember Hellcat, as she made her debut in Avengers #144, back in 1976, and was a member of the Defenders, ironically the team in which Jessica Jones is set to join at the conclusion of her Netflix series.

Unknown to many, the Patsy Walker alter ego appeared over thirty years prior in a line of romance comics published by Marvel. The character will be played by Grey’s Anatomy alum, Rachael Taylor.

Taylor has also appeared in the short lived TV shows, Charlies Angels (remake), Park Avenue 666 and Crisis.

For A.K.A. Jessica Jones, the character will go by the name “Trish” short for Patricia as opposed to Patsy, which is dated. She will work as a TV show host and have the history of being a former model and child actor, which was true of the comic interpretation of the character as well. However, there is no word as of yet, as to whether Trish Walker will suit up as Hellcat during the series.
